Four-year-old UK boy has same IQ as Einstein

A four-year-old boy in the UK, believed to have the same IQ as physicist Albert Einstein, has become the youngest member of an exclusive genius club which has just 85 members worldwide.

Sherwyn Sarabi, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, stunned psychologists after scoring more than 160 in an IQ test.

Already a member of the genius club Mensa from the age of three, Sarabi, has now been admitted to HELLIQ, a society with much more demanding entry requirements, 'Daily Express' reported.

'He keeps on getting even higher recognition for his abilities. He still keeps giving us a shock from time to time,' Sherwyn's mother, Amanda said.

Sherwyn astounded his parents after speaking his first words aged just 10 months and was talking in full sentences at 20 months.

'Sherwyn has a very superior level of intelligence, he is incredibly gifted and his vocabulary is out of this world,' said educational psychologist, Dr Peter Congdon, who measured his IQ.

Sherwyn knows the entire periodic table of elements. He started school at three and now attends private school in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.

'His intellect reaches the highest possible levels of reason and when he talks to you he has the social skills of a much older child,' Congdon said.

In order to become the member of HELLIQ, a person needs to perform in the top 0.003 per cent of the population, the report said.

Although, Einstein never took an IQ test as none of the modern intelligence tests existed during the course of his life, experts believe he had an IQ of around 160. PTI

Arrest warrant issued against Khobragade in US visa fraud case

NEW YORK: An arrest warrant was on Saturday issued against Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade on visa fraud charges after her fresh indictment by US prosecutors who accused her of "illegally" underpaying and "exploiting" her domestic help.
39-year-old Khobragade, who was arrested in New York on December 12, and has since been transferred to the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, faces arrest if she visits the US where her husband and two children are staying.
Following the fresh 21-page indictment, US Attorney in Manhattan India-born Preet Bharara said in a letter to US District Judge William Pauley that an "arrest warrant was also issued today" against the diplomat and that the government "will alert the court immediately upon the defendant’s arrest so that an appearance" before the judge may be scheduled.
The new charges, which came two days after a US court dismissed an earlier indictment on Wednesday, accused her of visa fraud and making false statements about the visa application of her domestic help Sangeeta Richard.
The indictment states that the diplomat "knowingly made" multiple false representations and presented false information to US authorities in order to obtain a visa for a personal domestic worker.
The fresh indictment filed in a court in Manhattan also charges that Khobragade submitted to the US State Department an employment contract of her domestic worker which she knew contained "materially false and fraudulent statements".
A grand jury had earlier returned a true bill on the two-count criminal indictment of Khobragade.
The indictment said, "Khobragade did not want to pay the victim the required wages under US law or provide the victim with other protections against exploitative work conditions mandated by US law."
"Knowing that if the US authorities were told the truth about the actual terms of her employment agreement with the victim, Khobragade would not have been able to obtain a visa for the victim, Khobragade decided to make false statements to the US authorities," it said.
Khobragade was arrested on visa fraud charges and for making false statements regarding the visa application of her maid.

Missing Malaysian plane mystery: Investigators conclude flight hijacked

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: Investigators have concluded that one or more people with significant flying experience hijacked the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, switched off communication devices and steered it off-course, a Malaysian government official involved in the investigation said on Saturday.

No motive has been established and no demands have been made known, and it is not yet clear where the plane was taken, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief the media. The official said that hijacking was no longer a theory.

"It is conclusive," he said.

He said evidence that led to the conclusion were signs that the plane's communications were switched off deliberately, data about the flight path and indications the plane was steered in a way to avoid detection by radar.

The Boeing 777's communication with the ground was severed just less than one hour into a flight March 8 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Malaysian officials previously have said radar data suggest it may have turned back toward and crossed over the Malaysian peninsula after setting out on a northeastern path toward the Chinese capital.

Earlier, an American official told the Associated Press that investigators are examining the possibility of "human intervention" in the plane's disappearance, adding it may have been "an act of piracy."

While other theories are still being examined, the US official said key evidence suggesting human intervention is that contact with the Boeing 777's transponder stopped about a dozen minutes before a messaging system on the jet quit. Such a gap would be unlikely in the case of an in-flight catastrophe.

The Malaysian official said only a skilled aviator could navigate the plane the way it was flown after its last confirmed location over the South China Sea. The official said it had been established with a "more than 50 per cent" degree of certainty that military radar had picked up the missing plane after it dropped off civilian radar.

Why anyone would want to do this is unclear. Malaysian authorities and others will be urgently investigating the backgrounds of the two pilots and 10 crew members, as well the 227 passengers on board.

Some experts have said that pilot suicide may be the most likely explanation for the disappearance, as was suspected in a SilkAir crash during a flight from Singapore to Jakarta in 1997 and an EgyptAir flight in 1999.
