NSS former general secretery P K Narayana Panicker passes away

Changanassery: Former general secretary and current president of the Nair Service Society (NSS) P. K. Narayana Panicker passed away at NSS hospital here on Wednesday at 2.10 pm . He was 82. He was under treatment for various ailments. . He is the second-longest-serving general secretary of the organization (after founder Mannath Padmanabhan), who has served 28 years in the post. He is an advocate by profession, who came to the front raw of the organization in 1977 as its treasurer, became General secretary in 1983

The cremation would be held on Thursday at 4 pm at the house premises in Changanassery . The body would be kept for public to pay homage at NSS headquarters from Thursday 10 am. Holiday has been declared for institutions under NSS on Thursday and Friday
