Cong riducules IUML's statement

Thrissur : Reacting strongly to Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) purported statement at Malappuram that it was their generosity that helped Mr Oommen Chandy become the Chief Minister of Kerala , Kerala Electricity Minister and Senior Congress Leader Aryadan Muhammed today ridiculed that they (atleast) did not tell that they were responsible for creating Kerala. 

Reacting to IUML General Secretary K P A Majeed's purported statement that it was their compromising stand which paved way for Mr Ommen Chandy to become the Chief Minister of Kerala, he said 'they were not told they were responsible for creating Kerala but only making Oommen Chandy as the Chief Minister of Kerala.' When pointed out the IUML's warning that they would not continue in the UDF with such insults to the party, he said nobody would suffer such insult and continue.
Earlier, at Kochi, he had said there was only a communication gap with the leaders and it had already been solved and there were no issues in this regard.
Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President Ramesh Chennitha at Kochi said there were no differences of opinion between the Congress and the IUML.
However, Chief Minister Ommen Chandy skipped queries from media on the IUML statement at Kozhikode. (UNI)
