Hajj :Draw of lots on Monday
Karippur: The draw of lots for Hajj under the State Hajj Committee will take place at Karippur Hajj House at 11.30 am on Monday.
Minister PK Kunhalikutty will lead the draw of lots. The hajj committee received 49,429 applications. Among them, 49,403 are elders and 24 are children.
3,120 are in reserve category A and 4987 in reserve B category. Those above 70 years are in A category. Those who have not got a chance even after applying three times are in B category.
Though it was earlier reported that the applicants in these categories will get a chance without draw, this does not look feasible in Kerala.
A total of 8107 people come under this two categories but Kerala quota for Haj is only 6484. So draw of lot would take place in these categories along with General category.
