New CPM Idukki district secy. to be decided on June 14

Thodupuzha: The CPM Idukki district committee will hold a meeting on June 14 to decide the successor of MM Mani. The meet would be lead by CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan. Before the district committee meets, the district secretariat will reach in a consensus as who would be the new district secretary. It is clear that a person who is proposed by Mani himself would be the new secretary.
At the same stiff competition is palpable in the district for the post. After MM Mani , KK Jayachandran , who is the MLA of Udumbanchola is the prominent leader. He is state committee member and held the post of district secretary for short span of time earlier.
Another senior leader is PS Rajendran who is currently acting as Kerala plantation employees' federation general secretary. Another person is district secretariat member PN Vijayan.
