Tribal youth dies while detraining
A tribal youth died while trying to alight from a moving train at Kannur Railway Station here today.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Janesh (21), a Paniya tribal youth of Odapuzha colony near Kolakad in Kanichar panchayat in Thalassery.
He died on the spot. He slipped from the steps of the general compartment of Nethravathi Express train (16345) from which arrived here from Kurla in Mumbai at 0900 hrs.
In another accident, 20 people, including women and children, were injured at Chalode town under Mattanur police limits this morning when two private buses collided each other. All of them were admitted to different hospitals here, police said. (UNI)
