Cop shifted to jail. THRISSUR: Subramanian, a police officer arrested in a molestation case, was shifted to Viyyur special sub-jail on Monday. Subramanian, a circle inspector with the Rapid Rescue Response Force unit in Malappuram, had been absconding ever since he was granted bail by the First Class Judicial Magistrate in Wadakkancherry. Woman dies as auto falls on her. ALAPPUZHA: A woman died when an auto fell on her at YMCA Junction Monday morning. Moly (55), wife of Pushkaran of Netaji in Mannancherry near here, was walking on her way to the ESI Hospital with her husband. The driver of the speeding auto lost control of the vehicle when he tried to stop it to pick up a person. The vehicle then fell on Moly.
