IOC to make compensation for tanker blast victims
Kannur: IOC Chairman R.S.Bhutola told Manorama News channel here Friday that compensation will be paid to the victims of LPG tanker blast in Chala, Kannur that took as many as 19 lives and caused a loss of property worth crores of rupees.
The compensation amount will be decided after getting the IOC investigation team's report. Talks are on with the state government, he said.
What happened in Kannur was in fact a road accident, but it led to a huge devastation and tragedy, Bhutola said.
