Widow of K Damodaran passes away
PALAKKAD: Padmam Damodaran, wife of the late K Damodaran, one of the founders of the communist movement in Kerala, died at her daughter K P Usha’s house at Marutharode, near Palakkad town. Padmam Damodaran, 93, was a member of the Guruvayur Municipal Council during 1991. She hailed from Ponnani and lived in Thrissur for long. For the last few years she was living with her daughter Usha. She was not keeping well and was in hospital for the last few weeks. Leaders of the Communist Party of India K E Ismail, V Chamunni, Rajaji Mathew Thomas, and CPI Palakkad district secretary K P Suresh Raj paid homage to the departed communist leader. Padmam Damodaran is survived by sons K P Mohan, K P Sashi, K P Madhu, K P Raghu, and daughter K P Usha.
