Thiruvananthapuram: A
majority of CPM state secretariat members who spoke about the inner-party
issues in front of the politburo commission on Friday is learnt to have stood
by the CPM state committee resolution in February, seeking the removal of VS
Achuthanandan as the opposition leader.
The commission began its inquiry into complaints filed by the state leadership and Achuthanandan on the day. Party leaders including CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan spoke in detail about the anti-party activities of Achuthanandan. Vijayan pointed out several acts by the opposition leader that had put him in deep trouble with regard to SNC-Lavalin case. He listed out the 'opportunities' the party had given him to correct himself and alleged that Achuthanandan didn't bother to correct, sources said
