Chill out, watch television,
play games and earn a fortune. The only condition is that you shouldn’t just be
out of bed! If you thought this is impossible, it is wrong. This unique job
offer comes straight from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
(NASA), which spearheads the US space research. The
unique programme is a part of NASA’s new space research called ‘bed-rest
study’. Remember Sunita Williams, the Indian origin astronaut who went to space
last year. Her team had spent 100 days in space.
The study is to basically investigate on the bodily changes astronauts undergo when they spent a long span in a weightless condition in space. Nasa is inviting healthy volunteers to conduct the study which would be held over 70 days. The volunteers would have to literally rest in a specially designed bed. Through this 70-day rest, NASA aims to extract vital information that could spur space research. Though it sounds an easy job, it isn’t easy to be just in a bed for 70 days in a row. It can actually harm your bones and muscles. Astronauts, who actually undergo similar situations, loose calcium and in many cases their bones disintegrate. The study is aimed to find remedies for such situations. Want to try this unique job? For details log on to: www.nasa/bedreststudy.
