Wife donates liver to husband

Thiruvananthapuram : By donating a part of her liver, Sauda wife of Hamsa Moulavi from Kozhikode set an example of being the best better half. Sauda, 43, donated her liver to her husband Hamsa Moulavi, 53, to save his life. The  successful surgery was performed in KIMS hospital, TVM. Though doctors advised liver transplant surgery, the family found it difficult in securing a matching liver. Later, Sauda decided to donate her liver but doctors were unable to do it as she gained weight. With constant exercise and efforts, Sauda managed to decrease 20 kg and was ready for surgery.
