Four of a Malayalee family killed in Jeddah road mishap

Jeddah: Four persons of a Malayalee family died in a road mishap at Moosamiya, 40 kms from Riyadh, on Sunday night. Five have been rushed to a hospital with severe injuries.Kasargod Uppala Mangalpaadi panchayat Abdulla (Arabia Shaji - 65), wife Ayishabi (52), their son Latheef (37) and grandson Abdul Rahman (9 months) were the deceased. The injured were Latheef's wife, brother Faris (25) and children Lubna (7), Siyan (3).

The family had gone to offer Umrah and was on their return journey when the mishap occured on the Mecca Riyadh Highway. The vehicle in which they were travelling hit a pole on the roadside. The cause of the mishap may be dozing off by the driver.Lateef who was employed as operations manager at Alfal company in Riyadh had brought his parents on a visiting visa. The family had left for Mecca via Madina on Thursday morning to offer Umrah.
