There is heavy rainfall warning until 19.9.2017. the message received from SDMA (dated 16.9.2017) is copied below.
Heavy rainfall (7-11cm in 24 hrs) is most likely to occur at one or two places in Kerala till 19-09-2017. Please note that the South West Monsoon has gained strength and our hilly regions have reached complete soil saturation resulting in a higher probability of landslides and floods. Hence it is advised that the preparedness measures as prescribed in the Monsoon Contingency Plan 2017 may be followed meticulously.

_As a Precaution, Night time traffic through hilly areas in Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kottayam and Idukki may be restricted in the night today and tomorrow too as the rain is gaining strength as per the satellite images.
