Harikumar offered flowers on his son's grave before committing suicide

Harikumar's brother Madhavan Nair was crying as he was pointing the flowers to people. Harikumar's son Akhil Hari had passed away after suffering from a tumor 12 years ago and Harikumar was disturbed by this. He had organized an annual football tournament commemorating Akhil in the police quarters. Harikumar committed suicide because of the media scrutiny and self-pity, said his relatives. Meantime, CMP general secretary C P John said that a judicial inquiry is required in Harikumar's suicide. "LDF leaders and Harikumar were very close following Vincent MLA's arrest. It is unbelievable that his location could not be identified by the police. A judicial inquiry is needed to know the last call details of Harikumar", said C P John.
